· For orders UNDER $150: Full payment is required within 2 days of placing the order. This payment is Non-refundable under any circumstances. ONLY transferable up to 3 weeks before event date. No changes to the design, size, removal of desserts or add-ons within 3 weeks of the event.
· For orders OVER $150: A 25% [$50 minimum] Non-refundable deposit is required within 2 days of confirming to book the date with over 3 weeks of event date. Any orders made within 3 weeks will require a 50% Non-refundable deposit. Full payment is required for any RUSH orders made within 14 days. No designs or emails will take place then on until the deposit is made. No exceptions.
· Baker Squared does not design cakes for orders less than $300. If you have a theme and ideas, Baker Squared can help gather the design and put ideas together.
· No date is confirmed without a deposit. If you inquire for a date and do not make a deposit within allotted time, the spot becomes open and form is disregarded.
· Once the initial deposit is made for a date, that date may only be changed 1 other time with more than 3 weeks notice. No changes may be made within 3 weeks, deposit is surrendered and not refundable or transferable.
· Once a deposit is surrendered, another date may be booked with a new deposit.
· Refunds or any funds paid into an order are not refunded for any reason aside from Baker Squared having to cancel. Due to the full schedule and my attention to detail, I spend many hours planning and preparing weeks before beginning on a cake. There will be NO transfers of funds for dates or orders unless there is a minimum of 3 weeks’ notice regardless of reason. I book out up to 3 months in advance and cannot keep changing dates and losing income because I turn other orders away due to being booked.
· Once the form is confirmed, there will be NO CHANGES AT ALL unless there is a 3 week minimum notice.
· If an order is cancelled for any reason within 3 weeks, there is no refund, no payments made towards another order or transferring that order's date or a new order with the same funds. ALL MONIES made towards that order will not be Refundable or Transferable.
· Invoices MUST BE PAID up to 10 days before event date - Order will be canceled within 10 days if not paid for and no deposit[s] will be refunded or transferred under any circumstances.
· All Forms confirmed are confirmed with those rates for The Confirmed Date ONLY. Once the date is changed, everything must be reconfirmed and the order will be recalculated according to any new costs.
· Any unpaid balances will result in a penalty fee of $50 + $5 per day with no end cap until balance is paid off.
· Due to the High Demand for Holiday orders, any Custom Orders booked on a Holiday weekend will have a higher rate cost regardless of when booking the date.
· Baker Squared does not offer free Cake tastings, free samples, or cakes for Charity. All Charity work is handled and already made with certain establishments.
· Designs, Drawings and Sketches will only be provided for Custom cakes over $800. Sketches may be provided for cakes under $800 for a fee of $75+.
· ALL ORDERS are made via Email. The average amount of Emails allotted to each order is 15. ANY ORDERS that exceed past 15 EMAILS will result in a fee of $2 per email exchanged then on. There are tons of emails to sift through, constantly changing ideas and dates will need compensation for the extra time needed to answer.
· If you choose to pick up your cake and transport it yourself, I am not liable or responsible for the cake once it has left the bakery. You should prepare your vehicle so it is clean and free of items that could roll or slide into the cake. Cakes MUST be placed on a Flat Surface [NOT ON TOP OF THE SEATS]. Please arrive with the car as cold as possible. 65 or lower is ideal. I do everything in my power to provide a well-structured cake, but please note that cakes are very fragile and break easily. Drive carefully and slowly.
· Any cake placed outside during an event has the possibility of melting or deforming due to the heat. I am not liable for a cake once it has been delivered or picked up.
· Baker Squared will not provide a cake when sheet cakes, cupcakes, groom's cakes, cheesecakes, cake pops, cookies, or ANY form of another dessert is provided by any other baker without permission. Baker Squared has a reputation to maintain, and it would be unfair for your guests to assume another baker’s cake was my cake. The cake provided by Baker Squared will be removed from the venue if another cake as stated above is served at your event without a refund.
· In the event a guest becomes sick and has consumed any food / desserts from other sources, Baker Squared is not held liable.
· Wedding and custom cakes are designed to serve the number of people you specify. My cake serving size is 1" x 2". If you are serving larger slices of cake and run out, I am not responsible to provide additional cake.
· Please note that all food products are prepared around other cakes that may contain Peanut, Gluten, and Dairy products. If there are any possibilities of allergies, it is advised not to consume the baked goods.
· I reserve the right to post any photos/videos with my desserts/cakes in them. Photos/Videos may be used on the business social media for promotions and advertisements.
· I reserve the right to the designs, photos, and ideas used to make the desserts or cakes.
· Baker Squared owns the rights to every Cake, design, dessert, picture, idea, and/or anything else produced in the shop. Taking anything designed via paper, virtually, or physically and sharing, copyrighting, or taking any design to be produced by another business, homebaker, or designer will result in Copyright infringement. Baker Squared may ask to remove or be compensated for rights to any work taken.
· These Terms and Conditions are subject to change to adapt to the updated restrictions due to COVID. Please feel free to ask for an updated version to confirm all Terms.
